Sausage fried rice has been and still is one of our favorite comfort foods. There’s something about the savory and sweet sausage that keeps us coming back for more. Try out our Taiwanese sausage to create this delicious dish at home 👩‍🍳🔥


 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably day old)
  • 2 links Wei-Chuan USA Chinese style sweet sausage, sliced into 1⁄2 inch thick pieces
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 1⁄4 onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 stalk scallion, chopped
  • Eggs: 1 tbsp neutral oil + 2 eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • Sauce: 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1⁄2 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper

 

Instructions:

  1. Add eggs and salt to a bowl. Beat until mixed well.
  2. On medium heat, add oil to non-stick pan. Pour eggs into pan. Mix and remove from pan when barely set.
  3. Add oil into pan. Add in sausage and let char for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add in onions and garlic. Cook for around 2 minutes.
  5. Add rice to the pan and break up any large pieces. Add in all the ingredients for the sauce. Mix well. Stir constantly for a couple minutes until rice is cooked. Add in a splash of water if needed.
  6. Add the eggs back in along with the scallion. Cook for another minute and mix well to incorporate all the ingredients. Remove from heat. 
  7. Serve hot and enjoy.

*Cooking time may vary based on equipment and quantity cooked in equipment. Must be cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F or above as measured by using a thermometer.​
