Vegan Spicy Wonton

This recipe is using Wei-Chuan USA’s wonton wrappers to create the famous and tasty Vegan Spicy Wonton.   • Wei-Chuan USA Wonton wrappers – 1/2 pack
Stuffing
  • Plant-based Ground pork – 75 gram
  • Salt – 1/4 tsp
  • White pepper – 1/4 tsp
  • Sesame oil – 1/2 tsp
  • Broth – 1 fl oz
  • Cilantro stems – 1/2 Tbsp (chopped)
Spicy sauce
  • Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Chili oil – 2 tsp to 3 tsp
  • Sesame oil – 1 tsp
  • Rice vinegar – 2 tsp
  • Sugar – 2tsp
  • Minced garlic – 2pcs
  • Green onion – 1 stalk (chopped)
  • Cilantro – some (optional)
Cooking instructions

Mixed Plant-based pork with salt, white pepper, sesame oil, cilantro stems and water. Mixed well.

Scoop a small amount of the mixed plant-based pork fillings into a single sheet of wonton wrapper, wet the edges with water, fold the wrapper, and twist the 2 edges together.

Place wontons in 8 cups of boiling water. Cook for 3 minutes over high heat with lid on. Remove lid and cook for 3 minutes over medium heat. Remove wontons from water after.

Spicy Oil Sauce, mix soy sauce, chili oil, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, and minced garlic together.

Pour the finished sauce on the wontons. Garnish with some chopped green onions and cilantro if desired.

Must be cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F as measured by use of a thermometer.
